Dr. Geraldine Spiekermann
studied art history at the Ruhr University Bochum and received
her PhD from the Humboldt University Berlin in 2012 on "Tears
in Modern Art". Since 2007, she has been a lecturer at the
Institute for Arts and Media at the University of Potsdam,
where she held the Chair of Art History for Art Teaching for
one year in 2020. Her research focuses on photography and
installation art, bodies and gender, and also abject
art.
